How to read it
It is set by the wheelbase and the clearance midway between the axles, so a longer wheelbase or bed cuts it. On the 2026 Jeep Wrangler, it runs from 20.3° (Sport 4-door 2.0L turbo automatic) to 27.8° (Rubicon 2-door 2.0L turbo automatic). The list’s 32.4° needs the Xtreme 35 Package. Bigger tires and a lift raise it; rock sliders and a low-hanging exhaust don’t change the rating but can be what touches.

How this list is made
What is compared: the maker’s breakover (ramp) angle, pickups and SUVs together.
One row per model: its newest generation, the newest model year we have that publishes the number (at most two years older than its newest), and the configuration with the highest figure, factory packages included and named. Fleet-only configurations (police and special-service trucks) are left out. When two trims tie, the four-wheel-drive one stands for both. Numbers are ranked as printed, so equal-looking numbers tie.
Scope: among the 39 vehicles in our data with a published figure. It isn’t every vehicle on sale: it is every one we have documents for. We track 20 more without the number in the documents we have: Chevrolet Silverado 1500, Chevrolet Suburban, Chevrolet Tahoe, GMC Sierra 1500, GMC Yukon, Honda CR-V, Jeep Cherokee, Jeep Grand Cherokee, Mitsubishi Pajero, Nissan Patrol, Nissan Xterra, Ram 2500, Toyota FJ Cruiser, Toyota Highlander, Toyota HiLux, Toyota Land Cruiser 200/300, Toyota LandCruiser 70, Toyota RAV4, Toyota Sequoia and Toyota Tundra. Fewer than 5 with the number and there is no list.
Dates: the documents behind these figures were last checked . A number is wrong or missing? Report a wrong number with the document. More in how we source the numbers.
