Can You Fit 35-Inch Tires on a Nissan Frontier?

A true 35 is a major D41 Frontier modification. Common 2-inch lift systems improve ride height but do not by themselves create enough steering and body clearance for a wide 35-inch tire.

At a glance

Fitment by configuration

These are planning categories—not installation guarantees. The exact wheel and measured tire dimensions can move a build between outcomes.

Stock suspension

Not recommended

Substantial interference expected.

2–2.5 in. lift

Not recommended

Still constrained at the body and steering envelope.

4 in. lift

Conditional fit

Requires wheel and body-clearance work.

6 in. / custom build

Conditional fit

Possible as a project build, not a bolt-on result.

Likely contact points

  • Rear of front wheel opening
  • Coil-bucket area
  • Pinch seam/body metal
  • Inner clearance at full lock

Before you order

  • Consider a narrow 35 before a 12.50
  • Budget for body clearance work
  • Verify UCA/coil-bucket clearance
  • Test with the vehicle loaded
