Can You Fit 35-Inch Tires on a Chevy Colorado?
A 35-inch tire can be built around the current Colorado, but trim is the first decision. Trail Boss and ZR2 start with factory lift and wider tracks; WT, LT and Z71 start lower and need a different plan.

Fitment by configuration
These are planning categories—not installation guarantees. The exact wheel and measured tire dimensions can move a build between outcomes.
WT / LT / Z71, stock
Insufficient all-condition clearance.
WT / LT / Z71, 2 in. lift
Aftermarket kits may target 35s; wheel and liner checks remain.
Trail Boss
Factory 2-inch lift helps, but the complete wheel package matters.
ZR2
Factory 3-inch lift is favorable; verify articulation and offset.
Likely contact points
- Front liner
- Rear of front opening
- Inner suspension clearance
- Full articulation
Before you order
- Identify trim and factory chassis height
- Use actual tire dimensions
- Verify wheel offset with track width
- Test off-road compression, not street only
